The Museum of Jewish Heritage is currently reviewing plans to build a new genealogy research center at its facility at 36 Battery Place in Battery Park City. Named the Peter and Mary Kalikow Genealogy Research Center, the waterfront expansion will provide visitors with Jewish genealogy resources through JewishGen, a non-profit organization and affiliate of the museum.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for Amana Astoria, a seven-story mixed-use building at 28-16 21st Street in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Matt Markowitz Architect and developed by Mahmoud Saab, the structure yields 50 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $82,012 to $187,330.
Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building at 22-78 Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway, Queens. Located between Gipson Street and McBride Street, the lot is near the Far Rockaway – Mott Avenue subway station, serviced by the A train. Oran Revivo under the 2278 Mott Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Exterior work is nearing completion on 2300 Cropsey Avenue, a 23-story mixed-use tower in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Designed by Michael Kang Architect and developed by Cropsey Partners LLC, the structure spans 329,522 square feet and will yield 154 rental units spread across 220,000 square feet, as well as an ambulatory center and a supermarket. Wave Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the intersection of Cropsey and 23rd Avenues, adjacent to the Belt Parkway.
Cantor Fitzgerald and Silverstein Properties have secured $165 million in construction financing to complete a 351-unit apartment building currently under construction in Astoria, Queens. The property is located at 44-01 Northern Boulevard and will also contain around 25,000 square feet of retail space, 200 parking spots, and 20,000 square feet of tenant amenities.
