The Department of City Planning is now reviewing an Environmental Assessment Statement and proposed zoning text amendments that would facilitate the construction of a large storage facility in Rockaway Beach, Queens. The proposed action would rezone the area from a manufacturing district to a mixed-use district with a commercial retail overlay.

The 56,746-square-foot development is developed by Bruman Realty and will yield 90 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 27 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $45,086 to $139,620.
Food festival Smorgasburg is opening its first location in New Jersey this weekend. Harborside, the commercial campus by developer Mack-Cali in Jersey City will house the food market in its open-air market space.
Façade work has reached the crown of 150 East 78th Street, a 16-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Developed by Midwood Investment & Development and EJS Group and designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects with Ismael Leyva Architects as executive architect and residential layout designer, the 205-foot-tall property will yield 25 units ranging from three- to five-bedroom condominiums. Sales have launched and are being handled by Compass Development Marketing Group. 150 East 78th Street is found at the corner of East 78th Street and Lexington Avenue.
