Construction is nearing completion on Tru by Hilton, a five-story hotel at 529 President Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Raymond Chan Architects and developed by RJ Hospitality LLC, the 60-foot-tall structure will span 31,100 square feet and yield 101 guest rooms, a 9,100-square-foot cellar level, and 6,269 square feet of parking space for 21 vehicles. President St. LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior rectangular parcel between 3rd and 4th Avenues.

Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by William Macklowe Company and Senlac Ridge Partners, the 300,000-square-foot structure will yield 180 rental units, with 45 designated as affordable housing, as well as 45,000 square feet of commercial and retail space and Brooklyn’s first Lidl supermarket spanning 25,000 square feet. Noble Construction Group is the general contractor for the 1.8-acre property, which is alternately addressed as 680 Baltic Street and bound by 5th Avenue, Baltic Street, and Butler Street.

Construction has topped out on 44-01 Northern Boulevard, a 13-story residential building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Cantor Fitzgerald and Silverstein Properties, which secured $165 million in construction financing earlier this year, the structure will yield 351 one- and two-bedroom rental units with 25 percent of the total inventory designated as affordable housing, as well as 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and enclosed parking for up to 200 vehicles. Whitehall Interiors is the interior designer and NY Developers & Management is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a trapezoidal parcel bound by Northern Boulevard and 44th and 45th Streets.
