Permits have been filed for a two-story commercial building at 821 Surf Avenue, in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The site is a block east of Luna Park, and a block west of the West 8th Street NY Aquarium Subway Station, serviced by the F and Q trains. Brighton Beach-based Aqua Plaza LLC and Pye Properties will be responsible for the development.
New renderings are out for 540 Hudson Street, a seven-story mixed-use building proposed in Greenwich Village. The site is two blocks away from the Christopher Street Station, serviced by the PATH Train, and the Christopher Street Subway Station, serviced by the 1 and 2 trains. The project would fill a vacant lot in the heart of the village. Morris Adjmi Architects will be responsible for the undulating design.
Images are out now for the redesigned penthouse in 100 Barclay Street, an Art Deco skyscraper adjacent to One World Trade Center on the southern edge of Tribeca. The 32-story building, originally known as the Barclay-Vesey Building, opened in 1927, designed by architect Ralph Walker. During the September 11th attack, the building suffered heavy damage on its southern and eastern facades. Tishman Realty & Construction led its repairs, with William F. Collins responsible for the restoration. The project was finished in three years at a cost of $1.4 billion, whereby all ornamental details and carving motifs were fixed. Since then, the upper floors have been converted to condominiums.

The neighborhood first opened in the mid 19th Century as one of seven planned garden communities in Queens. The site is six blocks away from the Kew Gardens Train Station, serviced by the Long Island Railroad. Eight blocks away is the 121st Street Subway Station, serviced by the J and Z trains. EEC Group INC. will be responsible for the development.

The site is right on the edge of the Citi Field station area, and a few blocks North of the expansive Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The 111th Street Subway Station is two blocks away, serviced by the 7 trains. Eight blocks away is Flushing Bay Promenade. King’s Empire Group LLC will be responsible for the development.
