Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 150-16 Hillside Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. The site is two blocks from Parsons Boulevard, serviced by the E and F trains, and the Jamaica Center subway station is seven blocks away, serviced by the E, J, and Z trains. Muhammad S Alam is behind the applications.
Permits have been filed for a four-story commercial building at 151 Dwight Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The site is eleven blocks away from the Smith-9th Street subway station, serviced by the F and G trains. Otsego LLC will be responsible for the development.
74 Trinity Place will be a substantial addition to the Financial District’s tapestry of buildings, and now, work for the project is starting to progress above ground level. Once complete, the 26-story tower will bring 310,000 square feet of new office space to the neighborhood, which is somewhat of a surprise, since it was originally expected to house condominiums.
New renderings are out for the conversion and expansion of the old church at 120 Java Street, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and YIMBY has the exclusive close-ups. The project is located just three blocks away from the Greenpoint Avenue subway station, serviced by the G trains. The existing structure had functioned as the parish hall for a nearby Episcopal church, Church of the Ascension. Developer Chris Horrigan, of Horrigan Companies, purchased the site in July of 2015 for $4,050,000, along with air rights from the church’s place of worship at 127 Kent Street. The building had been used as a relief spot during Hurricane Sandy. The project has since passed hands, and now SL Development is leading its dramatic transformation and residential rebirth.
