A project team led by Stony Brook University and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill has been selected to complete a $700 million climate research and education campus on Governors Island. Stony Brook University will anchor the 400,000-square-foot campus, known formally as The Center for Climate Solutions. The education and research hub will debut as New York Climate Exchange.

Available on NYC Housing Connect are 58 units for residents at 40 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $29,040 to $187,330.

Exterior work nears completion on 555 Greenwich, a 16-story commercial building in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Hudson Square Properties, a joint venture by Trinity Church Wall Street, Hines, and Norges Bank Investment Management, the 270,000-square-foot structure connects to the adjacent 345 Hudson Street via a horizontal overbuild to yield a combined 715,000 square feet of office space. Tishman Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by King Street to the north, Charlton Street to the south, and Greenwich Street to the west.
The New York City Housing Authority has partnered with BFC Partners, CB Emmanuel Realty, and non-profit organization Catholic Homes New York to complete $100 million in capital improvements at the West Brighton residential campus in Staten Island. Known formally as West Brighton I and II, the scope of work will impact more than 1,400 residents or 574 apartments spread across 14 buildings.
