Permits have been filed for a property located at 1226 Decatur Street, in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The location is situated one block west of the Wilson Avenue subway station, which offers service on the L line. Edo Furman will be responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed for a property located at 269 Port Richmond Avenue, in the Elm Park neighborhood of Staten Island. The site is located within a developed commercial strip, and is fairly urban by the borough’s standards, located about a two mile drive from the St. George Ferry Terminal.
Of all the developments currently under construction in New York City, none have been in the making for longer than Essex Crossing, which is rising on the site of several long-vacant lots on the Lower East Side. Updated plans have been released for a mixed-use project coming to 8-29 Astoria Boulevard, in Western Astoria, which YIMBY previously reported on in May of 2016. Plans call for the new structure to to rise a total of 58 feet, divided between six stories.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story commercial building at 25-41 Borden Avenue, in Hunters Point, Queens. The site is just a few blocks away from a rail yard that functionally separates the area from the rest of the neighborhood. The Hunters Point Avenue subway station is five blocks away, serviced by the 7 train. Eight blocks away is the 21st Street Subway Station, serviced by the G trains. The site is right by the Newtown Creek, which marks Queens’ border with Brooklyn. An anonymous LLC is behind the applications.
