The Waterfront Alliance has announced that the South Battery Park City Resiliency Project has become the 13th project nationally to achieve Waterfront Edge Design Guidelines (WEDG) verification. This distinction places the project, which is located at 20 Battery Place in Lower Manhattan, at the forefront of resilient, ecological, and accessible waterfront design.

Foundation work is underway at 89 Dekalb Avenue, the site of a 30-story mixed-use building in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by RXR, the 348-foot-tall structure will span 289,000 square feet and yield 324 rental apartments with 98 rent-stabilized units, as well as 54,000 square feet of academic space for Long Island University, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, two loading berths, nearly 15,000 square feet of amenities, and an enclosed parking garage for up to 198 vehicles with electric vehicle charging stations. RXR LIU PII Developer TRS LLC is listed as the owner and LRC Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot by the corner of DeKalb Avenue and Ashland Place.
National real estate investment firm The Feil Organization has announced that private security and fire safety contractor Mulligan Security has expanded its lease at 7 Penn Plaza in Chelsea, Manhattan. The company will extend its lease for 12 years and expand its footprint by 15,788 square feet, bringing its total occupancy to 24,788 square feet.

Located between Greenwood Avenue and Vanderbilt Street, the lot is near Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station, serviced by the F and G trains.
