The Westchester County Industrial Development Agency has approved an incentives package to facilitate the construction of a three-building residential complex in downtown White Plains. The property is located at 70 Westchester Avenue and is currently occupied by a Chrysler Jeep dealership and service center.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 155 Beach 115th Street in Rockaway Park, Queens. Located between Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Ocean Promenade Belle Harbor, the lot is one block from the Rockaway Park – Beach 116 Street subway station, serviced by the A train. Abraham Caller of Marcal Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Work is nearing completion on One Clinton, a 36-story residential tower at 280 Cadman Plaza West in Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Marvel Architects for Hudson Companies, the 409-foot-tall structure yields 295,000 square feet with 134 residential units, a 9,000-square-foot STEM research center, and One Clinton Street Library, a new public library replacing the Brooklyn Heights Library that formerly occupied the site. Consigli & Associates, LLC is the general contractor for One Clinton, which stands on a narrow parcel bound by Clinton Street and Cadman Plaza West.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is currently reviewing proposals from Tishman Speyer to construct new attractions at Top of the Rock, New York City’s historic public observatory at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. The attractions will debut as “Lunch atop a Skyscraper,” named after an iconic photograph of 11 construction workers seated along a steel crossbeam high above 30 Rockefeller Plaza in 1932.
