EPIRE, a New York City-based real estate investment firm, has announced the acquisition of development rights to construct a new mixed-use property in Jersey City. Located at 161 Second Street within the historic Powerhouse Arts District, the through-block building will comprise 100,000 square feet including both residential and retail components.
Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 207 West 140th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Located between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, the lot is five blocks north of the 135th Street subway station, serviced by the B and C trains. Michael Callaghan of NME HDFC, INC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
YIMBY has an exclusive first look at renderings of a new 23-story residential development by Castellan Real Estate Partners in NoMad, Manhattan. SWA Architecture is the architect of record for the 227-foot-tall, 41,992-square-foot project, which will feature 54 residential units and associated amenity spaces above 2,142 square feet of ground-level retail.
Installation of 40 Bleecker Street‘s warm-colored brick façade has begun behind the black construction netting and scaffolding that cover the NoHo property. Designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Broad Street Development, the 12-story residential building topped out in early 2019. Ryan Korban is the interior designer of the development’s 61 units, and Edmund Hollander Design is the landscape architect. A mix of one- to five-bedroom homes will come with the project. Fredrik Eklund of Bravo TV show Million Dollar Listing New York, John Gomes, and Sarah Burke are on the Douglas Elliman Development Marketing team in charge of sales and marketing.
Excavation and work on the foundation walls is underway at 323 East 61st Street on the Upper East Side, where a new six-story community facility is set to rise. Located a couple blocks away from the Queensboro Bridge, the building will stand 74 feet tall and yield 61,740 square feet, with 49,750 square feet dedicated to community facilities. The structure is designed by Daniel Goldner Architects, while LaSalle Investment Management and William Macklowe Company are the owners. Memorial Sloan Kettering is leasing all the space.
