Construction is nearing completion on St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in the Financial District. Designed by Santiago Calatrava and developed by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the structure sits atop Liberty Park by the intersection of Greenwich and Liberty Streets, and rests above part of the subterranean ramps for the vehicle security center at the World Trade Center.
Construction is continuing to rise on 255 West 34th Street, a 33-story hotel in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Stonehill Taylor Architects and developed by The Chetrit Group, the 397-foot-tall, 155,594-square-foot development will yield 330 hotel rooms. Flintlock Construction Services, LLC is the general contractor for the project, which is located on the southern edge of the Garment District between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, across from One Penn Plaza, Madison Square Garden, and the nearby James A. Farley Building and the new Moynihan Train Hall.
Construction is now complete at Park Avenue Apartments, a mixed-income affordable housing property in Claremont, The Bronx. Located at 3500 Park Avenue, the seven-story building comprises 115 units of affordable housing, including 69 units with supportive services funded through the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative.
Permits have been filed for a 17-story mixed-use building with affordable housing at 320 West Fordham Road in University Heights, The Bronx. Located on the Harlem River waterfront near the Major Deegan Expressway, the lot is within walking distance of the 207th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train and the University Heights Metro-North station on the Hudson Line. Brad Zackson of Dynamic Star LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications for one phase of the Fordham Landing mega-development.
Construction is close to completion on No. 33 Park Row, aka Pearl on the Park, a 23-story residential building in the Civic Center section of the Financial District. Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Sir Richard Rogers and Graham Stirk of Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and developed by Centurion Real Estate Partners and Urban Muse, the 331-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure spans 95,000 square feet with 30 units. These homes range from one- to five-bedroom condominiums and penthouses with many featuring private outdoor space. No. 33 Park Row stands on a corner plot along Park Row, which served as a historic location for some of New York City’s first skyscrapers such as the New York Tribune Building and the World Building. Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is the general contractor and Compass Development Marketing Group is the exclusive marketing and sales agent for the property, with sales underway.
