For the second time in 2018, YIMBY has a new look for Five World Trade Center. The latest rendering was found by a reader on the project’s fencing in the Financial District. The image shows a glassy building with a triangular motif reminiscent of the David Childs-designed 1 WTC. The depiction is roughly 70 stories in height, which could indicate yet another supertall is planned for the area.

Designed by New York’s GKV Architects with SLCE serving as architect of record, the gleaming, glass-clad structure soars 770 feet above Lower Manhattan.

The site is six blocks away from the Newkirk Plaza subway station, serviced by the Q train, and eleven blocks away from the Flatbush Avenue subway station, end of the line for 2 and 5 trains, and center of a major commercial thoroughfare. Yaakov Geldzahler of Triple C Builders LLC is listed as behind the applications.
