James Cleary Architecture has submitted proposals to the Landmarks Preservation Commission to facilitate the renovation of a three-story townhouse in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village Historic District. The residential building is located at 71 Jane Street and was originally completed around 1925.
Construction has topped out at The West, a full-block residential development at 547 West 47th Street in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Concrete and developed by Ironstate Development, CB Developers, and SK Development Group, the 12-story structure spans 30,000 square feet. The rectangular lot, which is located between West 47th Street and West 48th Street, was purchased for $93 million in the summer of 2018. Concrete also did the interior design.
Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 531 Classon Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Putnam Avenue and Fulton Street, the interior lot is two blocks from the Franklin Avenue subway station, serviced by the A and C trains. Haitao Bian of Y&L Classon Corp is listed as the owner behind the applications.
BKSK Architects recently returned to the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) with proposals to renovate and expand an aging low-rise building in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village Historic District. Located at 21 Greenwich Avenue, the corner property could eventually support a ground-floor restaurant and five floors of residential area.
Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 43-18 214th Place in Bayside, Queens. Located between 43rd Avenue and Northern Boulevard, the interior lot is a short walk to the Bayside train station for the LIRR, on the Port Washington line. Andy Bassaly under the 214 Place LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
