SKF Development has revealed the first renderings of 4427 White Plains Road, a seven-story residential building in the Wakefield section of The Bronx. Designed by Badaly Architects, the building will comprise just under 40,000 square feet of residential space, 1,383 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a 188-square-foot community facility.
Permits have been filed to expand a three-story residential building at 1665 Davidson Avenue in Morris Heights, The Bronx. Located at the intersection of West 174th Street and Davidson Avenue, the lot is near the Mount Eden Avenue subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Sam Lebovits is listed as the owner behind the applications.
According to the cumulative data for permit filings for new construction in New York City in 2022, the Big Apple’s construction scene has some rather positive numbers to report. The data from the Department of Buildings shows that, over the course of the year, the city’s developers filed for a total of 3,225 new buildings, a 60 percent increase over last year’s tally of 2,017 permits. The total volume of new filed-for floor space also rose from 53 million square feet in 2021 to 66 million square feet in 2022. Construction has officially topped out on Two Clinton Park, a 28-story mixed-use tower in downtown New Rochelle. Located at 28 South Division Street, the tower is the city’s third completed project from developer RXR, which also served as masterplan developer for the downtown area.
Joy Construction Corporation and Maddd Equities have secured $288 million in financing to complete North Cove, a 100-percent affordable housing tower at 373 West 207th Street in Inwood, Manhattan. Designed by Aufgang Architects, the 30-story building will comprise 611 apartments, a collection of amenity spaces, 60,000 square feet of retail on the lower levels, and 120 parking spaces.
