In June, pawn shop owner Boris Aronov filed plans for a 220-foot-tall office building at 43 West 47th Street, in the block-long Diamond District in Midtown. Now, YIMBY has renderings for the development, which will replace a pair of smaller buildings between Fifth and Sixth avenues.
One of the largest new office projects in the Meatpacking District is finally taking shape. Rockpoint Group is knitting together historic warehouse buildings and new steel and glass at 412 West 15th Street, and photographer Tectonic has the latest on the site between Ninth and Tenth avenues.
Over the course of the past year, Eli Hamway and his partners at Industrie Capital evicted hundreds of artists from the turn-of-the-century warehouses at Ninth Street and Second Avenue in Gowanus. Now they’ve begun converting the buildings to office space and kicked off leasing for the project.
Mack-Cali Realty Corporation has announced its partnership with SJP Properties to develop Harborside 4, a 1.2-million-square-foot office tower long-proposed at 136 Greene Street, in the Exchange Place district of downtown Jersey City. The development team won’t break ground on the tower until an anchor tenant has signed on, Real Estate NJ reported. The site, bound by Christopher Columbus Drive, and Greene, Pearl, and Hudson streets, is currently a parking lot.
The site at 68-74 Trinity Place has been one of the more notable recent demolitions in the Financial District, with the building coming down over the course of the past year. The site’s owner, Trinity Church, had previously planned a condominium building designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli. While those plans were shelved earlier this year, we now have new renderings of what will replace it.
