Permits have been filed for a 22-story commercial office building at 1241 Broadway in Midtown, Manhattan. The architect of the project will be Skidmore Owings & Merrill, who arguably have had the largest impact on New York City’s built environment compared to any other firm. Fresh Renderings Revealed For 115 Broadway in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Located in South Williamsburg, which like most of Brooklyn has been undergoing rapid and major changes over the past decade, a small building at the intersection of Broadway, South Sixth Street and Bedford Avenue, has some new renderings. Cayuga Capital Management LLC is the developer, and has revealed fresh new images of the project. 17-Story Addition Atop 441 Ninth Avenue Closing in on Final Floors, Hudson Yards

441 Ninth Avenue, between 9th Avenue & Dyer Avenue and 34th Street & 35th Street, is undergoing a major transformation. The original eight-story structure was built in 1962 and once housed a warehouse, before being converted into an office building. Now, interiors are once again being renovated, and will sit beneath an all-new 17-story addition atop the square-shaped structure. Cove Property and Baupost Group are the developers of the 700,000 square foot project, named “Hudson Commons,” which is rising thanks to a $479 million construction loan secured last November.

In exciting news for Sunset Park, plans for 6208 8th Avenue are now pushing closer to reality. A major proposal for the former railroad site in Brooklyn would create over one million square feet of mixed-use development. The structures would include commercial, residential, and community facility space. The site is next door to the 8th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N trains. Permits have been approved for the enlargement of 60 Charlton Street, which will yield a 12-story retail and office building in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan. The building was formerly known as 163 Varick Street. Kenneth Aschendorf of APF Properties is responsible for the development, after purchasing the lot for $65 million in July 2017.
