Soloviev Group has joined the race to win one of three pending licenses to construct a casino in downstate New York. In collaboration with Mohegan, an extension of the Mohegan Tribe of Indians of Connecticut, which owns a global portfolio of gaming resorts, the developers have revealed Freedom Plaza, a 6.7-acre waterfront gaming and residential campus near the United Nations complex in Midtown East, Manhattan.
Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation has partnered with renowned architect Sir David Adjaye to reimagine Restoration Plaza and Innovation Campus, its longtime home in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The plaza is located along Fulton Street between the Nostrand Avenue and Kingston-Throop Avenue subway stations.
Construction has reached the halfway point on 29 Jay Street, an 11-story commercial building in Brooklyn‘s DUMBO Historic District. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jay Street Office LLC, the 150-foot-tall structure will yield 225,000 square feet of office space. Sciame Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the northeast corner of Jay and Plymouth Streets.
Construction has topped out on 300 Huntington Street, a six-story commercial building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Dattner Architects and Bernheimer Architecture and developed and built by Monadnock Development, the 101,000-square-foot structure will yield 80,000 square feet of office space, 12,290 square feet of retail space, a 3,470-square-foot industrial workshop, 5,780 square feet of unspecified building service area, and a 15,490-square-foot rear yard dedicated to the main anchor tenant. The property is located on a plot bound by Huntington Street to the north, 9th Street to the south, the Gowanus Canal to the east, and Smith Street to the east.
Foundation work is progressing at 125 West 57th Street, the site of a 26-story commercial building on Billionaires’ Row in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy Properties- ABR Partners, and Cain International, the 440-foot-tall structure will yield 185,000 square feet of Class A office space and a new ground-floor home for the Calvary Baptist Church, which has operated on the site since 1883. Leading Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues between One57 and 111 West 57th Street.
