Excavation and piling work is underway at 29 Jay Street, the site of an 11-story commercial building in the DUMBO Historic District of Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jay Street Office LLC, the 150-foot-tall building will yield office space at the corner of Jay and Plymouth Streets. Sciame Construction LLC is the general contractor for the project.
Exterior work is wrapping up on 1245 Broadway, a 23-story commercial building in NoMad. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klövern AB, the 318-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure will yield 200,000 square feet of office space with marketing and leasing handled by CBRE. StructureTech NY and Triton Construction are both in charge of building the Midtown, Manhattan property, which stands at the corner of West 31st Street and Broadway, a short walk from Koreatown, Herald Square, and Madison Square Park.
Following a ground-up renovation of 711 Fifth Avenue, Michael Shvo of SHVO has revealed new plans to transform the upper levels of the building into an exclusive, members-only destination. Core Club, a global social club, has inked a 20-year lease with SHVO to occupy 60,000 square feet spread across four floors.
An extensive renovation of the historic ‘Lever House’ in Midtown East officially kicked off this week. Valued at $100 million, the project aims to transform and modernize the commercial property into a boutique office tower, while also restoring areas of the building that have not withstood the tests of time.

Designed by Gene Kaufman Architect and developed by Sang Lee, Noviprop, and Plus Development, the 120-foot-tall structure will yield 30,000 square feet of office space and ground-floor retail. RAAD Studios designed the lobby space and Plus Design Studios designed the office interiors for the property, which is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 14th Street, on the border of the Meatpacking District, Chelsea, and West Village neighborhoods.
