The curtain wall of 315 East 46th Street is quickly taking shape in the Midtown East neighborhood of Turtle Bay. The nine-story reinforced concrete structure topped out earlier this year and will be the home of the consulate of the United Arab Emirates. Plaza Construction is building the 145-foot tall structure, which is designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Fisher Brothers.
Excavation and work on the foundation walls is underway at 323 East 61st Street on the Upper East Side, where a new six-story community facility is set to rise. Located a couple blocks away from the Queensboro Bridge, the building will stand 74 feet tall and yield 61,740 square feet, with 49,750 square feet dedicated to community facilities. The structure is designed by Daniel Goldner Architects, while LaSalle Investment Management and William Macklowe Company are the owners. Memorial Sloan Kettering is leasing all the space.
The installation of new glass curtain walls on the lower levels of 388 Greenwich Street and its annex at 390 Greenwich Street is almost complete. The taller, 39-story office building rises above the Tribeca waterfront across from Pier 25 and Pier 26. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the 14-story-high glass envelope, while Gensler is leading the interior renovations in both structures.
A new 13-story, 200-foot-tall office building with retail and for-profit exposition space has been proposed with zoning changes for 215 Moore Street, in Bushwick, Brooklyn. According to an Environmental Assessment Statement for the through-site, the development would contain 375,824 square feet of office space, 16,026 square feet of retail, 79,592 square feet of exposition space, and 249 parking spaces.
