125 West 57th Street Approaches Final Floors in Midtown, Manhattan 

Construction is nearing topping out on 125 West 57th Street, a 26-story commercial building on Billionaires’ Row in MidtownManhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Cain International, the 440-foot-tall structure will span 260,000 square feet and yield 185,000 square feet of Class A office space, 7,000 square feet of retail space, and a new home for the Calvary Baptist Church, which has operated on the site since 1883 and sold the property to the developers for $150 million in 2017. Leading Builders Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located on an interior lot between Sixth and Seventh Avenues between Christian de Portzamparc‘s One57 and SHoP Architects111 West 57th Street.

Two Manhattan West Completes Construction in Midtown West, Manhattan

Last week, Skidmore Owings & Merrill and Brookfield Properties announced the completion of Two Manhattan West, a 58-story commercial skyscraper in Midtown West. The 935-foot-tall structure yields 1.9 million square feet of office space and is the final component of the 7-million-square-foot Manhattan West complex, a $4.5 billion, five-building master plan more than 40 years in the making. R&R Scaffolding Ltd. supplied the BMUs and AECOM Tishman served as the general contractor for Two Manhattan West, which is located at the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 31st Street, between the James A. Farley Building to the east and Hudson Yards to the west.

Le Gallerie Progresses at 132 West 14th Street in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Exterior work is progressing on Le Gallerie, a seven-story commercial building at 132 West 14th Street in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed and developed by KPG Funds, the project involves the gut renovation and re-cladding of a structure that formerly served as an auxiliary space for the adjacent Salvation Army headquarters, and will yield 57,478 feet of Class A office and retail space, as well as a ground-floor art gallery. 132 West 14th Street Ground Lessee LLC is listed as the owner and MJM Associates Construction is the general contractor for the development, which is located on an interior lot between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.

120 Park Avenue Modernization Begins in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction has begun on the first phase of the redevelopment of 120 Park Avenue, a 26-story commercial building in Midtown, Manhattan across from Grand Central Terminal. Designed by MdeAS Architects and developed by Global Holdings, the project involves renovations to the building’s façade and the construction of new double-height loggia terraces on the fifth and sixth floors of the Class A office building. Turner Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the intersection of Park Avenue and 42nd Street.
