Construction is nearing completion on the United Arab Emirates’ new consulate at 315 East 46th Street in the Midtown East neighborhood of Turtle Bay. Located just up the street from the future consulate of the Republic of Turkey, the 145-foot-tall, nine-story reinforced concrete structure is designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill, developed by Fisher Brothers, and is being built by Plaza Construction.
Tenants at 1740 Broadway, a 26-story office tower in Midtown, Manhattan, will soon have access to a fully modernized lobby and private club designed by INC Architecture & Design. EQ Office Properties, the landlord of the property, expects the expanded areas to open in spring 2020.
This week, the City Planning Commission approved 550 Madison Avenue‘s Snøhetta-designed gardens. Developer Tishman Speyer and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP have finalized negotiations for a massive 530,000-square-foot office at 66 Hudson Boulevard, aka The Spiral. The global law firm expects to relocate its headquarters from 919 Third Avenue in the second half of 2022. With this latest transaction, Tishman Speyer has now successfully pre-leased 54 percent of the building.
