Work is wrapping up on the Verizon Tech Executive Education Center and Graduate Hotel on Roosevelt Island. The topped-out, 18-story structure is designed by Snøhetta and includes an adjacent four-story annex. Graduate Hotels is the operator of the 224 hotel rooms. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is the master planner of the island campus, while Hudson CompaniesRelated Companies, and Brookfield are developing the entire Cornell Tech satellite location.

The glass curtain wall of 202 Broome Street has reached the final setback of the 14-story mixed-use building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by CetraRuddy, the property will feature 175,000 square feet of Class A offices with a max of 13-foot-high ceilings, 34,500 square feet of retail space, 83 residential units, and a 9,000-square-foot indoor park and recreation area called Broome Street Gardens. The project is part of the six-acre Essex Crossing complex, which is being developed by Delancey Street AssociatesBFC Partners, L+M Development PartnersTaconic Investment PartnersThe Prusik Group, and Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group.

1245 Broadway’s Concrete Superstructure Continues to Climb in NoMad

The reinforced concrete superstructure of 1245 Broadway, a 23-story office building from Skidmore Owings and Merrill, is steadily rising in NoMad. Co-developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klovern, the 318-foot-tall structure will bring 200,000 square feet of commercial space to the booming neighborhood. StructureTech NY and Triton Construction are in charge of construction, and CBRE began leasing the building’s class A office space in late 2019.

Glass Façade Reaches Top Setback of 106 West 56th Street in Midtown

The glass curtain of 106 West 56th Street appears to have recently reached the top floor of the 403-foot-tall office building. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by private equity firm Savanna along with Hong Kong-based developer Atom Assets, the 27-story structure stands topped out between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue, one street to the south of Billionaires’ Row.
