Construction Progresses on 430 West Broadway in Soho, Manhattan

Construction is progressing on 430 West Broadway, a seven-story commercial building in the Soho Cast Iron District. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by New Soho Associates, the project was approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission in early 2019 and will yield office space sitting atop ground-floor retail and community facility space. Abeco Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Prince and Spring Streets.

Developers Complete $53M Renovation at 767 Third Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan

The William Kaufman Organization and Sage have completed a $54 million renovation project at 767 Third Avenue, a high-rise office tower in Midtown East, Manhattan. The design team included FXCollaborative, the same architect that completed the tower in 1981, alongside Fogarty Finger.

New Rendering Revealed for Office Supertall at 360 Tenth Avenue in Midtown West, Manhattan

A new rendering has been revealed for 360 Tenth Avenue, a proposed supertall commercial skyscraper in Midtown West, Manhattan. The structure will yield 1 million square feet of Class A office space. McCourt Global is the current owner of the property, which is situated between Brookfield Properties‘ Manhattan West complex and Related Companies‘ first phase of Hudson Yards, and bound by West 31st Street to the north, Dyer Avenue and West 30th Street to the south, and Tenth Avenue to the west.

Zero Irving Completes Construction at 124 East 14th Street in Union Square, Manhattan

Construction is complete on Zero Irving, a 21-story mixed-use building at 124 East 14th Street in Union Square, Manhattan. Designed by Davis Brody Bond and developed in partnership by RAL Development Services and Junius Real Estate Partners, the 176,000-square-foot structure contains affordable and market-rate office space for technology firms as well as a three-floor education and training center, a tech incubator, coworking spaces, and a 10,000-square-foot ground-floor food hall managed by Urbanspace. JLL has served is the leasing and marketing agent for the office space and Suffolk Construction was the general contractor for the project, which is located along East 14th Street between Third Avenue to the east and Broadway to the west.

250 East 83rd Street Stands Topped Out Over Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction has topped out on 250 East 83rd Street, a 31-story residential building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Torkian Group, the 370-foot-tall structure will yield 128 residential units with interiors by Lemay_id, as well as ground-floor retail space. Cauldwell Wingate Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 83rd Street.

Mayor Adams Moves Forward with Midtown South Neighborhood Plan to Facilitate Office-to-Residential Conversions in Midtown, Manhattan

Mayor Eric Adams has ushered in the next phase of the Midtown South Neighborhood Action Plan, a community development plan aimed at facilitating the conversion of office properties into multifamily residential buildings. Over time, the plan will update existing zoning rules and administrative hurdles that slow down the process for developers.

Redevelopment of 22 Vanderbilt by Milstein Properties Nears Completion

The massive modernization and redevelopment of Class A office building 22 Vanderbilt is nearing its completion. Owned by Milstein Properties, the 1.1 million-square-foot Midtown tower with direct underground access to Grand Central Terminal, is receiving over 275,000 square feet of hospitality-driven amenity spaces and services designed by SHoP Architects. Formerly known as 335 Madison, 22 Vanderbilt is among the most sought-after office buildings in New York City due to its direct connections to transit hubs, upgraded building system, and expansive amenity package. Since its rebranding in early 2023, over 120,000 square feet of leases have been signed, including one of Midtown’s largest new leases in 2023 with global public relations firm Joele Frank.

107 North 1st Street Nears Completion in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on 107 North 1st Street, a five-story commercial building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Melamed Architects and developed by 107 North First Street Realty, LLC, the structure will yield 18,000 square feet of office space above ground-floor retail frontage. Vintage Home, Inc. is the general contractor for the property, which sits on an interior lot between Berry Street and Wythe Avenue.

Construction At PENN2 Continues At Two Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction and expansion work continues at PENN 2, a 31-story commercial building at Two Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by MdeAS Architects and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the topped-out project involves the replacement of the 412-foot-tall tower’s outdated midcentury façade with a new glass curtain wall and set of light-colored metal paneling, a full gut renovation of its 1.61 million square feet of office space, new pocketed corner terraces, and a multi-story cantilevering volume along Seventh Avenue. GMSLLP is the façade consultant and Turner Construction Company and Skanska are the contractors for the property, which is located between West 31st and West 33rd Streets within the Penn District revitalization master plan.

L&L Holding Company Unveil Large-Scale Artworks at 425 Park Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

L&L Holding Company has unveiled a pair of prominent artworks at Norman Foster‘s 425 Park Avenue office skyscraper in Midtown East. The artworks now occupy the building’s jewel box triple-height lobby and show on a digital display on the three ornamental fins that crown the structure.
