Fifth Avenue continues its piecemeal evolution, and with legitimate supertalls now set to sprout as far south as the upper 20s, the blocks to the south are following suit with their own changes. 150 Fifth Avenue has been owned by L&L Holding Co. since 2000, and the firm is now renovating and expanding the building with an attractive two-story rooftop addition, for which YIMBY now has the video reveal.

The development site at 420 Albee Square has seen several twists and turns, with initial plans for the assemblage consisting of a 65-story tower that would have risen almost 700 feet. That iteration was shelved by the end of 2015, when YIMBY reported on a height chop down to 35 floors. By the end of last year, we had additional confirmation of what was happening thanks to the EDC’s continued efforts, with a rendering by Kohn Pedersen Fox finally appearing. The 81-foot-tall project will feature a 59-car parking garage on the ground floor, 29,474 square feet of medical office space across the ground-floor mezzanine through fourth floors, and 16,254 square feet of commercial offices on the fifth through seventh floors.
