Upper West Side’s 125 West End Avenue to be Redeveloped as Science and Research Facility

The Taconic Partners West Campus building at 125 West End Avenue on the Upper West Side will soon be redeveloped as a state-of-the-art life sciences and research laboratory. In January 2021, broadcasting company Walt Disney/ABC will vacate the eight-story property it has occupied since 1985. Architect Perkins+Will and engineer JB&B round out the redevelopment team.

Harborside 1–3’s Recladding Makes Progress in Jersey City

Work is moving along on the exterior recladding of Harborside 1, Harborside 2, and Harborside 3, a contiguous set of eight- to 12-story buildings along the Jersey City waterfront. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Mack-Cali Realty Corporation and SJP Properties, the $75 million project will transform the exterior look of the full-block complex, which is bound by Harborside Place to the north, Hudson Street to the west, and Christopher Columbus Drive to the south.

Excavation Underway at 561 Greenwich Street in Hudson Square

Excavation has commenced at 561 Greenwich Street, the site of a 19-story, 260,000-square-foot commercial building in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX Architects, the project will add 199,353 square feet of office space to the rapidly changing neighborhood. Hines is serving as development manager and Trinity Church Wall Street is listed as the owner on permits filed last November. The site is bound by Greenwich Street Street to the west, King Street to the north, and Charlton Street to the south.
