Renderings Revealed for 475 Bay Street in Stapleton Heights, Staten Island

Renderings have been revealed for 475 Bay Street, a new two-phase residential development in Staten Island. Designed by GF55 Partners‘ New York design studio, the project is located in the island’s Stapleton Heights neighborhood just a couple blocks from the Upper Bay waterfront. BFC Partners, the developers of Empire Outlets, is also the entity responsible for 475 Bay Street.

JP Morgan’s Demolition of 270 Park Avenue Making Visible Progress in Midtown East

Demolition is moving along on JP Morgan Chase‘s 52-story headquarters at 270 Park Avenue. Formerly referred to as the Union Carbide Building, the financial company is in the midst of razing the 707-foot-tall mid-century skyscraper in order to make way for a 1,425-foot-tall, 2.5-million-square-foot supertall, which will be one of the tallest structures in New York City.

Renovation of 1100 Avenue of The Americas Making Progress in Midtown

Exterior work is progressing on 1100 Avenue of the Americas, a 15-story office building at the corner of West 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue, directly across from Bryant Park. Brookfield Properties is the developer of the 386,190-square-foot structure, which is receiving an interior renovation and façade redesign by MdeAS Architects. As revealed in renderings released last fall, the new glass curtain wall will be much lighter and more transparent than the original reflective envelope. The property will contain 357,940 square feet of commercial office space and 11,239 square feet of ground-floor retail area. Aecom Tishman is the general contractor.
