Permits have been filed for an 18-story senior living facility at 2330 Broadway on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. Located between West 84th Street and West 85th Street, the interior lot is one block south of the 86th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. As previously reported by YIMBY, the site is under development by Welltower, Inc. and is the second senior living property in New York City for the global health provider. Real estate investment firm Hines is also a co-developer.

The Financial District office building now features treatments such as marble walls, textured terrazzo flooring, and reflective ceilings to help magnify light within the entry space. Updated security features include electronic turnstiles, reception seating, and increased street-level visibility both from outside and within the building.

A new mixed-use tower within the billion-dollar Essex Crossing development has officially topped out above the Lower East Side, Manhattan. Located at 180 Broome Street, the 26-story tower is designed by Handel Architects and will eventually contain 175,000 square feet of office space, 263 rental units, and 27,000 square feet of retail area. The building is expected to complete by the end of 2020, while the full Essex Crossing project is planned to wrap up by 2024.
