YIMBY Checks in on FXCollaborative’s 31-Story Mixed-Use Tower at 185 Broadway in the Financial District

YIMBY went to check on the construction progress at 185 Broadway, a new 31-story residential tower in the Financial District designed by FXCollaborative and developed by SL Green. The 260,000-square-foot mixed-use tower is located at the southwestern corner of Dey Street and Broadway, directly next to one of the entrances to the Fulton Street subway station. Pilings and excavation are currently happening.

Façade of Toll Brothers’ 77 Charlton Condo Development Nears Completion in West SoHo

Construction is nearing completion at 77 Charlton Street, a 161-unit condominium in West SoHo, Manhattan. Referred to as 77 Charlton, the project is designed by S9 Architecture & Engineering and developed by Toll Brothers City Living. Located between Hudson Street and Varick Street, 77 Charlton is actually made up of two 15-story towers that span the width of the parcel from Charlton Street to King Street and share a private courtyard. Condominiums are priced from $995,000 to $5,250,000 and will range from studios to three-bedroom homes. The interiors are designed by INC Architecture & Design.

YIMBY Tours Office Floors of One Willoughby Square, in Downtown Brooklyn

YIMBY recently went on a hard hat tour of One Willoughby Square, aka 420 Albee Square in Downtown Brooklyn, which is on track to become the tallest new office building in the borough. The 495-foot-tall building, which will contain 500,000 square feet of Class A office space across 34 stories, is being designed by FXCollaborative and developed by JEMB Realty. Gilbane Development Company is in charge of the construction progress.

Marvel Architects’ 540 Fulton Street Making Vertical Progress in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction of 540 Fulton Street is climbing past the first residential floors. The Downtown Brooklyn project site will stand as a 511-foot- tall, 43-story high, mixed-use skyscraper. It is being designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jenel Management. The building will yield about 330,000 square feet, with 71,844 square feet allocated to commercial space and 22,054 square feet designated for retail on the lower floors. The remaining 239,142 square feet will be occupied by the residential homes.

Demolition Wraps for Two New Residential Skyscrapers at 601 West 29th Street, Next to Hudson Yards

Demolition has completed at the site of 601 West 29th Street in Hudson Yards for an upcoming 695-foot-tall, 58-story skyscraper designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Douglaston Development. Meanwhile, the adjacent lot is almost cleared for a 520-foot-tall, 42-story tower at 606 West 30th Street, which is being developed by Lalezarian Properties and designed by Ismael Leyva Architects. The two structures will share the parcel of land between 29th Street and 30th Street to the west of Eleventh Avenue.
