Developers In Contract To Acquire Dime Savings Bank Assemblage, Williamsburg

Back in May, YIMBY brought you news that the Dime Savings Bank development assemblage — located around but not including the two-story commercial building at 209 Havemeyer Street, in central Williamsburg — was hitting the market, and now it appears Tavros Capital and Charney Construction & Development are in contract to purchase the site. According to Commercial Observer, Dime is selling the 50,000 square-foot assemblage for $80 million, which could accommodate a mixed-use development of 230,500 square feet. The developers are expected to close on the purchase in early 2016.

Four-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Project Planned At 1257 Jefferson Avenue, Bushwick

Urban View Realty has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 1257 Jefferson Avenue, in southern Bushwick, five blocks from the Halsey Street stop on the J train. The building will measure 8,400 square feet in total, which means units will average 1,050 square feet apiece. The two units on the fourth floor will also have access to a private roof terrace. Nataliya Donskoy’s Brooklyn-based ND Architecture & Design is the applicant of record. An existing two-story townhouse must be demolished prior to construction.

Planned 38-Story, 310-Key Hotel Filed At 1150 Sixth Avenue In Midtown

In August of 2014, YIMBY revealed renderings of Fortuna Realty’s planned luxury hotel building at 1150 Sixth Avenue, in Midtown between West 44th and 45th Streets, and now the developer has filed applications for the project. The 38-story, 310-key hotel will stand 415 feet tall and measure 138,458 square feet. Hotel rooms will average 447 square feet and begin on the fourth floor. The lobby, a lounge, spa, restaurant, ballroom, and meeting spaces will all be located on the lower levels. Ismael Leyva is the architect of record, and permits were filed last May to demolish an eight-story building.

Five-Story, 15-Unit Mixed-Use Building Filed At 8 Fairview Place, Flatbush

Samuel Karpf, operating under an LLC, has filed applications for a five-story, 15-unit mixed-use building at 8 Fairview Place, in northern Flatbush, right around the corner from the Church Avenue stop on the 2 and 5 trains. The building will measure 22,138 square feet, and 4,549 and 480 square feet of retail and health care facilities, respectively, will be located on the ground floor. On the floors above, units will average 1,141 square feet apiece. Brooklyn-based Bricolage Designs is the architect of record. Before construction begins, two existing 2.5-story homes must be demolished.

Seven-Story, 17-Unit Mixed-Use Building Coming To 30-13 31st Street, Astoria

Great Neck-based Antonio Mourtil has filed applications for a seven-story, 17-unit mixed-use building at 30-13 31st Street, in central Astoria, right below the 30th Avenue stop on the N and Q trains. The building will measure 17,504 square feet in total, and will feature 2,791 and 2,890 square feet, respectively, of retail space on the ground floor, and health care facilities on the second. Units will be located on the floors above and will average a rental-sized 695 square feet each. New Jersey-based T.F. Cusanelli & Filletti Architect is the applicant of record, and a two-story house must first be demolished.
