Jamaica-based A&I Developers Inc. has filed applications for a pair of three-story, five-unit residential buildings at 21-17 and 21-19 Birdsall Avenue in Far Rockaway. The buildings will measure 5,993 square feet each and, between them, the total of 10 residential units should average 903 square feet apiece, indicative of family-sized apartments. There will be a total six off-street parking spaces, all located indoors. Barry J. Bank’s Kew Gardens-based engineering firm is the applicant of record. The 50-foot-wide, 6,750-square-foot property is vacant. The Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue stop on the A train, as well as the neighborhood’s Long Island Rail Road station, are three blocks away.

An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a four-story, 10-unit residential building at 309 Hart Street in northern Bedford-Stuyvesant. The project will measure 11,425 square feet and its residential units should average 794 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. One of the apartments on the fourth floor will also feature space in an upper penthouse level. Forest Hills-based ARC Architecture + Design Studio is the architect of record. The 40-foot-wide, 4,000-square-foot site is vacant. The Myrtle Avenue stop on the J and M trains is three blocks away.

The Brooklyn-based Kagan Family Irrevocable Trust has filed applications for a three-story, three-unit residential building at 176 Webster Avenue in southern Kensington. The project will measure 7,161 square feet and its full-floor residential units should average 1,862 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. The unit on the second floor will also include space on an upper penthouse level. Kenneth Thomas’s Hudson Valley-based firm is the applicant of record. The 40-foot-wide, 4,479-square-foot lot is currently occupied by a two-story house. Demolition permits have not been filed. The 18th Avenue stop on the F train is two blocks away.

137-Key Six Senses Hotel Planned At Two-Towered Mixed-Use Development, 76 Eleventh Avenue, Chelsea

Late last month, YIMBY reported that piling work was underway at the site of HFZ Capital Group’s two-towered, 35- and 25-story, mixed-use project at 76 11th Avenue in southern Chelsea. The developer had been considering whether to construct a hotel or office space within the project’s commercial component; now it has been revealed that a five-star, 137-key Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is planned. The hotel portion will be located in the 25-story eastern tower and will feature a spa. It will be the Bangkok-based hotel operator’s first location in the United States.

Renderings have been revealed of the new 26,000-square-foot Statue of Liberty Museum to be located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. The structure is designed by FXFOWLE Architects. As reported over the summer, ESI Design will be responsible for the interior spaces. The museum will include a gallery, a theater, a bookstore, and administrative offices. It will also sport a walk-up rooftop terrace accessible from the pedestrian plaza.
