Construction has officially topped out at The Bedford, a new 13-story affordable housing development in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx. The property is located at 211 East 203rd Street and will eventually contain 108 rental apartment units.
Proposals from Camber Property Group reveal a massive expansion of Stevenson Commons, a mixed-income residential complex in the Soundview section of The Bronx. If approved by New York City’s Department of City Planning, the expansion will establish six new buildings with a sizable portion of residences reserved for senior demographics.
Catholic Charities Progress of Peoples Development Corporation, abbreviated as Catholic Charities, has begun construction on a new six-story affordable housing project for seniors in Astoria, Queens. Located at 23-11 31st Road, the project will debut as Bishop Valero Residence with 102 units designated for low-income seniors and the formerly homeless.
Renderings have been released for two four-story residential buildings at 1522-1524 New York Avenue in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Developed jointly by Gary Neustadt and Phil Minzer of Posh Capital Group, the separate but adjacent structures will be located between Farragut Road and Glenwood Road. The closest public transit to the lot is the Newkirk Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains.
Construction has topped out at 1325 Jerome Avenue, a new affordable housing project in the Mount Eden section of The Bronx. The development is the latest endeavor from The Doe Fund and was completed in collaboration by the GF55 design studio.
