Construction Completes on The Artisan at 180 Broome Street in Essex Crossing, Lower East Side

Construction is complete on The Artisan, a 26-story residential building at 180 Broome Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Delancey Street Associates, which is made up of BFC Partners, L+M Development Partners, Taconic Partners, The Prusik Group, and Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group, the building contains 263 residences ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. The project is part of the 1.9-million-square-foot Essex Crossing master plan and is bound by Delancey Street to the north, Clinton Street to the east, Broome Street to the south, and Suffolk Street to the west.

Affordable Senior Living Kingsley House Will Get $35.8 Million Renovation in White Plains

Kingsley House, an affordable senior housing in Westchester County will soon get a major rehabilitation to the tune of $35.8 million. New York State Homes and Community Renewal, MDG Design + Construction LLC, Smith & Henzy Advisory Group, Inc. are partnering up to renovate and preserve the affordability of 164 units in the Mitchell-Lama housing development at 41 Barker Avenue in White Plains.

The buildings were built in the 1910s and have 35 residential units each. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 11 recently renovated units for residents at 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $43,303 to $112,800.

The adjacent 6,128-square-foot developments were designed by Gerald J. Caliendo Architect, and each yield six units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $68,572 to $133,120.

The 135,360-square-foot development is being constructed through the Senior Affordable Rental Apartments and Inclusionary Housing Programs of the New York City Housing Preservation & Development and financed under Article XV of the New York Private Housing Finance Law. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 96 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $51,200.
