Construction is expected to begin soon on a seven-story mixed-use residential and commercial development at 33 Franklin Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The 21,000-square-foot-lot has street frontage along Calyer Street, Quay Street, and Franklin Street and is also addressed as 82 Calyer Street. Yidel Hirsch is listed as the owner under the Franklin 33 LLC, and StudiosC is the filing architect as well as responsible for all exterior and interior design.

Grace Baptist Church to Build a 14-Story Mixed-Use Affordable Housing Building in Mount Vernon

The Grace Baptist Church has big plans for the adjacent empty lot at Sixth Avenue and Second Street in Mount Vernon. Proposals are in the works for a 14-story building known as The Grace, yielding 267 apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom units, parking below grade for 130 vehicles, ground-floor space for church conference rooms, and a catering hall. SLCE Architects is responsible for the design.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for the Parker West Apartments, a 21-story mixed-use building at 214 West 72nd Street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Designed by Greenberg Farrow and and developed by CBSK Ironstate, a collaboration of SK Development, CB Developers, and Brooklyn Standard Properties, the structure yields 38,006 square feet and 19 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect is one unit for residents at 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $67,132 to $118,400.
