125 3rd Street Rises Above Gowanus, Brooklyn

Construction is rising on 125 3rd Street, a 14-story residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger and purchased by Allan Lebovits, Joel Wertzberger, and Moishe Loketch with Ariel Property Advisors representing the sellers, the structure will yield 130 units with 25 to 30 percent set aside for affordable housing, and 12,750 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is located on a 20,407-square-foot block-through lot with 60 feet of frontage along 2nd Street and over 157 feet of frontage along 3rd Street. An exact number of affordable units has yet to be revealed.

Housing Lottery Launches for 217 Main Street in Tottenville, Staten Island

Designed by Dome Architecture and developed by Taormina Properties LLC, the structure yields 18 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $85,715 to $218,010.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 3418 Third Avenue, a seven-story mixed-use building in Morrisania, The Bronx. Designed by Fred Geremia Architects & Planners and developed by Franc Gjini, the structure yields 54 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 13 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $84,755 to $218,010.

New Renderings Released For 341 10th Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn

New renderings have been released for the 341 10th Street, a three-tower residential development in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Stellar Management, with support on the affordable housing by Fifth Avenue Committee, the nearly 245,000-square-foot master plan consists of two new residential towers and the rehabilitation of an existing apartment building, and will yield a total of 459 rental units. There will be 305 new units created, while the existing 154 units will all be dedicated to affordable housing via Article XI regulatory agreement with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development. A new tower facing 9th Street will contain 100 new affordable units, while the second tower facing 10th Street will be built with 205 new units, 62 of which will be affordable. The project will also include retail spaces designed for local small business and nonprofit organizations, and redesigned sidewalks for improved pedestrian safety. The property is bound by 9th and 10th Streets and 4th and 5th Avenues.

Façade Installation Nears Pinnacle of 16 Dupont Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Curtain wall installation has reached the final floors of 16 Dupont Street, a 40-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn‘s 22-acre Greenpoint Landing master plan. Designed by GKV Architects and developed by Rockefeller Group and Park Tower Group, the 400-foot-tall structure will span 365,651 square feet and yield 381 rental units, with 115 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 2,548 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 138 enclosed parking spaces. The property is located at the intersection of Dupont, West, and Commercial Streets.

Phase Two Of Marcus Garvey Extension Project Breaks Ground In Brownsville, Brooklyn

Construction has broken ground on phase two of the Marcus Garvey Affordable and Supportive Housing project in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The $204 million project is being executed in collaboration between Services for the UnderServed, the Osborne Association, and L+M Development Partners and will introduce 287 units across three buildings, with 143 units designated for supportive housing.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Williamsburg Apex, a pair of eight-story mixed-use buildings at 28 Boerum Street and 255 Lorimer Street in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Developed by Loketch Group, Joyland Group, and Meral Property Group, the structures yield 336 residences. 218 Front Street Nears Completion in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn

Exterior work is finishing up on 218 Front Street, a seven-story, two-building residential complex in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by S. Wieder Architect and developed and built by Chess Builders, the project will yield 218 rental apartments with 66 affordable housing units, as well as 350 square feet of commercial space and 180 square feet of community space on the ground floor. The property is bound by Front Street to the north and York Street to the south, and was formerly occupied by a one-story industrial warehouse and an open-air lumber yard.

New Renderings Released For 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive in Hunters Point, Queens

New renderings have been revealed for 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive, a two-tower complex in the Hunters Point South master plan in Hunters Point, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by TF Cornerstone, the development consists of a 34-story, 390-foot-tall structure with 575 units at 2-20 Malt Drive and a two-tower building at 2-21 Malt Dive with a 38-story, 440-foot-tall tower and a 25-story, 310-foot-tall sibling collectively housing 811 units. The project will span 1.43 million square feet and yield 1,386 rental units, with 30 percent designated for affordable housing, as well as around 25,000 square feet of retail space. SCAPE Landscape Architecture is the landscape architect for the master plan, which will rise from a subdivided plot bound by 54th Avenue to the north, Newtown Creek to the south, and 2nd Street to the west.

1607 Surf Avenue Wraps Up Construction in Coney Island, Brooklyn

Construction is complete on 1607 Surf Avenue, a ten-story, 100-percent affordable housing building in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Designed by S9 Architecture and Engineering and developed by BFC Partners, the 104-foot-tall structure spans 360,912 square feet and yields 376 rental units with an average scope of 750 square feet, as well as 11,000 square feet of commercial space, 9,000 square feet of community space, a cellar level, and a 2,500-square-foot primary care facility run by New York City Health + Hospitals. The $189 million project is bound by Surf Avenue to the south, West 16th Street to the east, and West 17th Street to the west.
