The affordable housing lottery has launched for Atlantic Chestnut Phase 1, a 14-story mixed-use building at 250 Euclid Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Designed by Dattner Architects and developed by Phipps Houses, the three-structure complex will yield 1,200 residences when complete. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 341 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $16,938 to $140,080.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 58 Vanderbilt Avenue, a nine-story mixed-use building also addressed as 205 Park Avenue in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn near the Brooklyn Navy Yards. Designed by J Frankl Associates and developed by Bruchy Lefkowitz, the structure yields 90 residences and 34 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 23 units for residents at 40 to 110 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $28,629 to $139,810.

Designed by Marin Architects and developed by Mark Stagg of RYTY Home Builders, the structure yields 92 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 28 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $75,395 to $198,250.

The Yonkers Panning Board is now considering proposals from Kearney Realty & Development Group to construct a new affordable housing project at 21-23 Park Avenue in Yonkers. The project is known as The Abbey and includes the construction of a new apartment building and a renovation of the Ethan Flagg House and Blessed Sacrament Monastery. Both properties are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Designed by Marin Architects and developed by RYTY Home Builders, the structure yields 134 residences and 69 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 41 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $73,886 to $227,630.

Construction teams have broken ground at 212 West 124th Street, the site of a new affordable housing tower within the Marcus Garvey Village complex in Central Harlem. From developer Carthage Real Estate Advisors and Body Lawson Associates Architects and Planners, the new building is expected to debut next winter.

Westchester IDA Approves Financial Incentives for Residential Conversion at 39 Westmoreland Avenue in White Plains

The Westchester Industrial Development Agency (IDA) has approved a $9 million financial incentives package for a warehouse-to-residential conversion project at 39 Westmoreland Avenue in White Plains. Led by Florida-based developer Mill Creek Residential Trust, the vacant century-old warehouse will yield 163,000 square feet and debut at Modera White Plains.

Demolition Prep Underway at 335 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan

Demolition preparations are underway at 335 Eighth Avenue, the site of an upcoming seven-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX and developed by MAG Partners, the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 188 residential units with 30 percent dedicated to affordable housing for low- and middle-income residents under the Affordable NY Program, as well as a 23,000-square-foot Lidl grocery store on the ground floor. Titan Industrial SVC Corp is the demolition contractor and Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 26th Street within the Penn South affordable housing cooperative, officially known as Mutual Redevelopment Houses.

Excavation Set to Begin at 55 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Excavation is set to begin at 55 Willoughby Street, the site of a 38-story residential tower in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Colberg Architecture and developed in a joint venture by Lonicera Partners and Rabina, the structure will yield 295 apartments with 89 units reserved for affordable housing, as well as 3,500 square feet of retail space and more than 12,000 square feet of amenity space for residences. Alba Services is the demolition contractor for the property, which sits on an interior lot between Jay and Lawrence Streets.

Permits Filed for 63-68 Austin Street in Rego Park, Queens

Permits have been filed for a nine-story affordable housing building at 63-68 Austin Street in Rego Park, Queens. Located at the intersection of 63rd Drive and Austin Street, the lot is in walking distance of 63rd Drive – Rego Park subway station, serviced by the E, M, and R trains. Yin Chou Hu of AAA General Construction Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
