Earlier this week, Camber Property Group launched a housing lottery for 94 newly constructed homes within Victory Plaza. Located at 11 West 118th Street in Central Harlem, the entire building comprises 136 affordable mixed-income units.
Late last year, Gotham Organization announced plans to construct a 24-story residential building and a partial expansion of the century-old Brooklyn Music School at 130 Saint Felix Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. With the help of architects FXCollaborative, the developers are now ready to present proposals to the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC).
Construction activity is underway at 460 West 41st Street, a 164-foot-tall mixed-use building in Midtown West. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Covenant House, the 80,290-square-foot edifice will contain 53,053 square feet dedicated to community facility space and 60 units averaging approximately 884 square feet. This is the first supportive housing development by Covenant House in 48 years and includes help from for-profit entities Gotham Organization and Denham Wolf Real Estate Services.
A 1,045-unit housing complex known as Bronx Point is now recognized as the first and only affordable housing project to achieve WEDG certification. The rating system was founded by the Waterfront Alliance, an independent offshoot of The Municipal Art Society of New York, that establishes guidelines for ecologically friendly waterfront design and construction.
Renderings were recently revealed for 171 Throop Avenue, a 93-unit mixed-use building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The development, which will be financed in part by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, will include community facilities and recreational amenity space.
