LPC Reviews Renovation Proposal for 340 West 85th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

The New York City Landmark Preservation Commission is reviewing a proposal for renovation work on the Three Arts Club, an eight-story building at 340 West 85th Street on Manhattan‘s Upper West Side. Designed by Curtis + Ginsberg Architects, the project involves the construction of an ADA accessible ramp and stairway to the main entrance to the structure, which is owned by the West Side Federation and contains 125 single-occupancy senior supportive housing units for the formerly homeless.

Located between East 175th Street and East 176th Street, the lot is within walking distance of 176th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Non-profit ACMH Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications. Christopher Turner and Gene Goldstein-Plesser of Denham Wolf Real Estate Services represented ACMH during the acquisition of the property.

247 North Avenue Rises Above Street Level in New Rochelle, New York

Construction is rising above street level on 247 North Avenue, a 28-story residential tower in New Rochelle, New York. Designed by Studio V and developed by LCOR, the structure will yield 307 rental apartments in studio to two-bedroom layouts with 31 units reserved for households earning 80 percent area median income, as well as 1,800 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and parking for 257 vehicles. Aspera Studio is the interior designer and LRC Construction LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot bound by Lecount Place to the north and North Avenue to the south.
