The Chetrit Organization launched leasing earlier this year for Parkhill City, a rental complex located just north of Rufus King Park in Jamaica, Queens. This week, the developer released new interior renderings including a first look at the property’s suite of residential amenities.
YIMBY checked in on the progress of two properties under construction at Essex Crossing: 180 Broome Street designed by Handel Architects, and 202 Broome Street designed by CetraRuddy Architecture. One of the largest developments to come to the Lower East Side, Essex Crossing is a mixed-use project composed of nine different buildings as part of a $1 billion master plan to bring new affordable housing, retail, dining, entertainment, and communal facilities to the neighborhood.

Construction has passed the halfway point on the 755-foot-tall residential skyscraper, which is located at 27-29 Queens Plaza North in Long Island City. Meanwhile, the curved reflective glass curtain wall is rapidly ascending the 67-story reinforced concrete superstructure. Handel Architects is the designer and The Durst Organization is the developer of the project, which is also addressed as 29-37 41st Avenue. Selldorf Architects is the interior designer.
Developer Fetner Properties recently unveiled renderings for a 23-story residential building with micro-units at 266 West 96th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Located between Broadway and West End Avenue, the development would be built on a lot currently occupied by a former MTA electric substation.
Brookfield Properties has officially announced its Bankside mixed-use project in Mott Haven, near the southern tip of The Bronx. The development includes seven residential buildings, 34,000 square feet of public waterfront space along the Harlem River, 15,000 square feet of retail, and a mix of community facilities.
