Revealed: Eight-Story, 166-Unit Mixed-Use Affordable Project at 546 East 142nd Street, Mott Haven

A rendering has been revealed of the newly planned eight-story, 166-unit mixed-use project at 546 East 142nd Street, a.k.a. 349 St. Ann’s Avenue, in the South Bronx’s Mott Haven section. The project, dubbed The Park Haven, will contain about 13,000 square feet of space for a grocery store, as well as 9,000 square feet of community space for a workforce development program, DNAinfo reported. All of the apartments, ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, will rent at below-market rates. Thirty percent will be designated for homeless families, while the remaining 70 percent will be offered through the affordable housing lottery.

Renderings have been revealed of the 12-story, 305-unit mixed-use project at 443 East 162nd Street, located on the corner of Brook and Elton avenues in the South Bronx’s Melrose section. The project’s developers—the Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corp. (WHEDco.), BFC Partners, the the city’s Housing Preservation & Development (HPD)—broke ground on it last week, Curbed NY reported.

Façade installation is now up to the 17th floor on the 25-story, 714-unit mixed-use building, which topped out in October, at 300 Livingston Street, located on the corner of Bond Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The structure can be seen thanks to a photo posted to the YIMBY Forums. The latest building permits indicate the project will encompass 734,312 square feet and rise 250 feet to its main roof, or 271 feet to the top of the bulkhead.
