Haus25 Completes Construction at 25 Columbus Drive in Jersey City

Construction is complete on Haus25, a 57-story mixed-use skyscraper at 25 Columbus Drive in Jersey City. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Veris Residential, the 626-foot-tall structure yields 750 residential units with interiors designed by Fogarty Finger, as well as an adjacent school designed by KSS Architects in the low-rise podium to the east. Melillo + Bauer Associates is the landscape designer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, Inglese Architecture + Engineering is the civil engineer, and AMA Consulting Engineers is the mechanical engineer for the New Jersey project, which is bound by Christopher Columbus Drive to the north, Montgomery Street to the south, Washington Street to the east, and Warren Street to the west.

Chetrit Group Secures $70M Loan to Purchase 260 South Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side

The Chetrit Group is now the owner of 260 South Street, a forthcoming high-rise complex on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, following a $70 million acquisition loan from Madison Realty Capital. The waterfront development will eventually include 64-story and 74-story towers in the Two Bridges section of the neighborhood.

Housing Lottery Launches for 225 Units at River Crest in South Bronx

The affordable housing lottery has launched for River Crest, a 17-story mixed-use building at 1164 River Avenue in Cromwell-Jerome, The Bronx. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Maddd Equities, the structure yields 500 residences, 83,650 square feet of commercial space, and 84 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 225 units for residents at 30 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $15,429 to $132,400.

The Willoughby Completes Construction at 196 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction is complete on The Willoughby, a 34-story mixed-use tower at 196 Willoughby Street on Long Island University‘s Downtown Brooklyn campus. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by RXR Realty, the structure yields 476 residential units as well as academic and office spaces, an adjacent athletic field, and parking for 564 vehicles. Hunter Roberts Construction Group served as the general contractor for the project, which is bound by Willoughby Street to the north, Ashland Place to the east, DeKalb Avenue to the south, and Flatbush Avenue Extension to the west.

Demolition Complete for 45-Story Tower at 570 Fulton Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Demolition is complete at 570 Fulton Street, the site of a 45-story mixed-use tower in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Davis Companies, which took over for Slate Property Group in late 2020, the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 123 apartments above 87,000 square feet of commercial space. The property is located on a plot bound by Fulton Street to the north, Flatbush Avenue to the west, and Rockwell Place to the east.

Astoria Houses Opens On-Site Testing and Vaccination Center at 4-25 Astoria Boulevard in Queens

Elected officials recently celebrated the opening of a new COVID-19 testing and vaccination center at Astoria Houses. Located at 4-25 Astoria Boulevard in Astoria, Queens, the facility sits inside repurposed shipping containers and was designed in partnership by research teams from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and The Tuchman Foundation.
