Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Peter Fine, the structures yield 127 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 127 units for residents at 30 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $132,400.

Façade Installation Progresses on 1841 Broadway on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Façade work continues on 1841 Broadway, a 25-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Global Holdings Management Group, the 281-foot-tall structure will span 180,813 square feet and yield 173 market-rate and affordable housing units and 11,741 square feet of retail space on the first two levels. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor and DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 60th Street, just north of Columbus Circle and the southwest corner of Central Park.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Twin Parks Terrace, a 14-story mixed-use building at 373 East 183rd Street in Fordham Heights, The Bronx. Designed by Danois Architects and developed by NYC Housing Authority, the structure yields 181 residences and 11,000 square feet of retail space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 135 units for residents at 40 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $22,012 to $132,400.

Joy Construction Corporation and Maddd Equities have secured $288 million in financing to complete North Cove, a 100-percent affordable housing tower at 373 West 207th Street in Inwood, Manhattan. Designed by Aufgang Architects, the 30-story building will comprise 611 apartments, a collection of amenity spaces, 60,000 square feet of retail on the lower levels, and 120 parking spaces.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Parkside Manor, a nine-story residential building at 148-29 90th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Designed by Raymond Chan Architect, the structure yields 90 residences and 45 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 27 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $43,612 to $187,330.

Ruby Nears Completion at 241 West 28th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on Ruby, a 22-story two-tower residential complex at 241 West 28th Street in Chelsea. Designed by COOKFOX and developed by MAG Partners, Atalaya, Safanad, and Qualitas, the 400,000-square-foot project will yield 480 rental units with 144 reserved for low- and middle-income households, as well as 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a through-block parcel between Seventh and Eighth Avenues with frontage on both West 28th and 29th Streets. The developers are aiming for LEED Silver certification.

Developed by The Gotham Organization and designed by Dattner Architects and JG Neukomm Architecture, the structure yields 378 residences made up of 25 percent permanently affordable and 75 percent market rate units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 95 units for residents at 40 to 100 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $27,738 to $165,500.

Exterior Work Progresses on 100-Percent Affordable Development at 1607 Surf Avenue in Coney Island, Brooklyn

Exterior work is progressing on 1607 Surf Avenue, a ten-story, 100-percent affordable housing building in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Designed by S9 Architecture and Engineering and developed by BFC Partners, the 104-foot-tall structure will span 360,912 square feet and yield 376 rental units spread across 282,095 square feet, as well as 11,000 square feet of commercial space, 9,000 square feet of community space, a cellar level, and a 2,500-square-foot primary care facility run by New York City Health + Hospitals. Coney Island Associates Phase 2 is the general contractor for the $189 million project, which is bound by Surf Avenue to the south, West 16th Street to the east, and West 17th Street to the West.
