811 Lexington Avenue Celebrates Grand Opening In Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn

IMPACCT Brooklyn recently celebrated the opening of 811 Lexington Avenue, a new affordable housing development designed specifically for low-income seniors and elderly individuals in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The 63-unit development, which was designed by Think!, aims to address the need for affordable housing among seniors in the area. The site was formerly occupied by a parking lot and a vacant industrial building that once housed the Mars Fudge and Fruit Company.

Funding Secured For Renovation of West Brighton I and II In West Brighton, Staten Island

The New York City Housing Authority and BFC Partners have secured $332.3 million in funding for the renovations of West Brighton I and II, a Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) project in West Brighton, Staten Island. This brings the total capital investment in the borough to over $1 billion. The PACT partner team, consisting of BFC Partners, CB Emmanuel, Catholic Homes (a non-profit), and Pinnacle City Living, has converted 16 buildings to Project-Based Section 8 housing through the federal Rental Assistance Demonstration program. The project will provide comprehensive renovations for over 1,300 residents.

Exterior work is progressing on 111 Willoughby Street, a 40-story mixed-use tower in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by GF55 Architects and developed by The Michaels OrganizationTriangle Equities, and Geolo Capital, the 437-foot-tall structure will span 205,000 square feet and yield 227 rental units, a 20,000-square-foot ministry center for the St. Boniface parish, and 1,814 square feet of commercial space. The property is located by the intersection of Willoughby Street to the south and Duffield Street to the east.
