333 Lenox Road Nearing Completion in Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn

Construction has almost wrapped on 333 Lenox Road, in the Lefferts Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, and today we have a photo update on the project as well as a new rendering of what it will ultimately look like. The building is a joint venture between SelfHelp Community Services Inc and the Briarwood Organization. Upon its completion, the development will yield 54 units of residential housing for low income senior citizens.

16-Story NYCHA Infill Development Coming to 120 3rd Avenue, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

The New York Daily News has broken news that Arker Companies and Two Trees will develop a sixteen-story mixed-income building at 120 3rd Avenue, in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. This comes almost two years after the city announced a program focused on reutilizing thirty to forty New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) locations around the city. Effectively, this means new structures rising up on undeveloped land generally used for recreation or, in the case of this newest announcement, two parking lots.

Groundbreaking has just occurred for a ten-story affordable housing building at 985 Bruckner Boulevard in Woodstock, the Bronx. The site is one block away from the Hunts Point Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 6 train, and eight blocks away from the Intervale Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Rainey Park is also nearby, with three baseball fields. The NYC-based non-profit Community Access is responsible for the development.
