The affordable housing lottery has launched for 111 Varick Street, a 30-story residential building in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by S9 Architecture with interiors by Chris Shao Studio and developed by Extended, the structure yields 100 residences in a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom layouts. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 30 units for residents at 70 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $48,343 to $167,570.

260 Gold Street Completes Construction in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction is now fully complete on 260 Gold Street, a 13-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by J Frankl Architects and developed by Bruman Realty, which recently secured a $145 million refinancing package from Square Mile Capital Management, the nearly 260,000-square-foot structure yields 287 rental apartments and features a four-story atrium with an indoor waterfall. The property is bound by Gold Street to the east, Tillary Street to the south, and Duffield Street to the west.

The New York City Council has approved proposals to construct a new 18-story mixed-use building at 840 Atlantic Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by IMC Architecture and developed by Atlantic-Vanderbilt Holdings LLC, the structure will contain a mix of market-rate and income-restricted apartments, retail space, a community arts center, and a sub-grade parking garage.

22 Chapel Street’s Façade Approaches Completion in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work continues to progress on 22 Chapel Street, a 20-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Delshah Capital and OTL Enterprises, the 211-foot-tall building spans 133,181 square feet and will yield 180 apartments, of which 25 will be designated for affordable housing. The property will also contain a START Treatment & Recovery Center, New York’s largest independent drug treatment agency. Titanium Construction Services Inc. is the general contractor for the development, which is being built between Flatbush Avenue Extension to the east, Chapel Street to the north, Cathedral Place to the south, and Jay Street to the west.
