Covenant House’s Brick Façade Nears Completion at 460 West 41st Street in Midtown West, Manhattan

Façade work is nearing completion on 460 West 41st Street, a 164-foot-tall mixed-use building in Midtown West. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Covenant House, the structure will become the first supportive housing development by Covenant House in nearly 50 years, with help from for-profit entities Gotham Organization and Denham Wolf Real Estate Services. The 80,290-square-foot property is located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and will yield 60 residential units averaging approximately 884 square feet, as well as a 53,053-square-foot community facility. Façade Installation Nears Completion on 799 Broadway in Greenwich Village

Exterior work is nearing completion on 799 Broadway, a 12-story office building in Greenwich Village. Designed by Perkins + Wills and developed by Columbia Property Trust, the 182-foot-tall structure will yield 180,000 square feet of commercial space marketed by JLL. The corner lot is located at the intersection of Broadway and East 11th Street, and was purchased by Normandy Real Estate Partners and Ares Management in 2016 for $101 million.

Aloft Hotel Nears Halfway Mark at 450 Eleventh Avenue in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Construction is nearing the halfway mark on 450 Eleventh Avenue, a 642-foot-tall Aloft Hotel in Hudson Yards. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Group, the 51-story skyscraper will yield 379 rooms and is expected to cost around $368 million. The property is located at the corner of West 37th Street, directly across from the Jacob K. Javits Center, and will also feature a business center, a ballroom, and a fourth-floor restaurant and bar with an outdoor terrace.

601 West 29th Street’s Glass Façade Begins Installation in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Curtain wall installation has begun on 601 West 29th Street, a 695-foot-tall residential skyscraper on the border of Hudson Yards and West Chelsea. Designed by FXCollaborative, developed by Douglaston Development, and constructed by Levine Builders, the 60-story structure is also known as “Tower A” in a two-building development along with the adjacent 606 West 30th Street, and will yield 703 market-rate and 235 affordable housing residences, 50,000 square feet of amenity space, and 15,000 square feet of retail space. The project site is bound by Eleventh Avenue to the east, West 29th Street to the south, and West 30th Street to the north.
