Construction is on the verge of topping out on 98 Dekalb Avenue, a 610-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Rockrose Development, the 49-story structure will span 418,092 square feet and yield 609 residential units and 3,775 square feet of commercial space. The property is alternately addressed as 180 Ashland Place and located at the corner of Dekalb Avenue and Ashland Place.

200 East 20th Street Nears Completion in Gramercy Park, Manhattan

Construction is wrapping up on 200 East 20th Street, a 19-story residential building in Gramercy Park, Manhattan. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Tidhar Group Ltd., the 210-foot-tall structure will span 82,800 square feet and yield 52 condominium units in one- to three-bedroom layouts with an average scope of 1,260 square feet, as well as 2,730 square feet of retail space. The property is located at the southeast corner of East 20th Street and Third Avenue.

660 Lexington Avenue Continues Ascent in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is rising above street level on 660 Lexington Avenue, a 19-story residential building in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by Zproekt Architecture and developed and built by Sergey Rybak of Rybak Development under the 660 Lexington Avenue Development LLC, the 233-foot-tall structure will span 52,558 square feet and yield 23 condominium units with an average scope of 2,123 square feet, as well as 2,551 square feet of commercial space, 1,174 square feet of community facility space, and a cellar level. The property is alternately addressed as 133 East 55th Street and located at the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 55th Street.

Façade Installation Progresses On 262 Fifth Avenue in NoMad, Manhattan

Façade installation is progressing on 262 Fifth Avenue, a slender 56-story residential skyscraper in NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development under the Five Points 262 Project LLC, the 860-foot-tall structure will yield 26 condominium units with an average scope of 3,200 square feet, including at least one quadruplex unit. The project stands on a 5,000-square-foot plot at the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.

550 Tenth Avenue Nears Completion in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on 550 Tenth Avenue, a 520-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV, the 47-story structure will span 430,000 square feet and yield 453 rental units, with 137 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 9,000 square feet of lower-level retail space, over 20,000 square feet of amenities, and 26,764 square feet of administrative office space for Covenant House. GO Covenant LLC is the owner of the property, which is located along Tenth Avenue between West 40th and 41st Streets.

Demolition Underway At 500-502 East 81st Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Demolition is progressing at 500-502 East 81st Street, the site of a forthcoming ten-story residential building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Zproekt Architecture and developed by Rybak Development, the 100-foot-tall structure will yield 29,829 square feet of residential space with an undisclosed number of units, likely to be condominiums based on the design firm’s history in the neighborhood. The building will also have a cellar level and three enclosed parking spaces. The property is located at the corner of York Avenue and East 81st Street.

New Renderings Revealed For The Bay At 2971 Shell Road in Coney Island, Brooklyn

Updated renderings have been revealed for The Bay, an eight-story residential building under construction at 2971 Shell Road in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Designed by Zproekt Architecture and developed by Rybak Development and Fouerti Realty, the 80-foot-tall structure will span 187,600 square feet and yield 189 rental apartments in one- to three-bedroom layouts with an average scope of 992 square feet, as well as a 100-foot-long side yard, indoor and outdoor amenities, and 109 enclosed parking spaces on the ground floor. The ground-up property is bound by Neptune Avenue to the south, West 6th Street to the east, and Shell Road to the west.

35 Commercial Street Completes Construction in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Construction is finished on 35 Commercial Street, a 22-story, 100-percent affordable housing building in the Greenpoint Landing mega-complex in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Park Tower Group along with Greenpoint Landing Associates, New York City’s Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), the structure yields 374 permanently affordable apartments and 7,600 square feet of lower-level retail space. The all-electric project is bound by Commercial and Clay Streets to the south and Bell Slip to the west.

Construction Progresses on THE 74 At 201 East 74th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is continuing on THE 74, a 32-story residential tower at 201 East 74th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Pelli Clarke & Partners with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Elad Group, which purchased the property for $61 million in April 2022, the 420-foot-tall structure will yield 42 condominium units and a collection of residential amenities. Rafael de Cardenas is the interior designer for the amenity spaces and the residences, which are being marketed by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing and will include half-floor two- and three-bedroom units, full-floor four- and five-bedroom homes, a single free-standing townhome, and a duplex penthouse. The property is alternately addressed as 1299 Third Avenue and located on an interior lot facing Third Avenue with two small panhandle extensions to East 74th and East 75th Streets.

Foundations Underway For 219 Canal Street in Chinatown, Manhattan

Foundation work is progressing at 219 Canal Street, the site of a four-story commercial building in Chinatown, Manhattan. Designed by Chang Hwa Tan of Tan Architect P.C. and developed by 219 Canal Street, LLC, the nearly 43-foot-tall low-rise structure will include a cellar level, almost 3,300 square fete of commercial space, and is located at the corner of Canal and Baxter Streets on a shallow plot.
