Dubbed “The Dime,” 277 South Fifth Street will be a new 264-foot tall residential tower in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The reinforced concrete building is close to topping off behind the Dime Savings Bank landmark. The project sits on a 50,000 square foot site, almost an acre in size, and will span just over 350,000 square feet.
Sir David Adjaye’s residential tower at 130 William Street surpassed the halfway mark earlier this month, as it continues to climb towards its 800-foot tall pinnacle. The 66-story building is designed by Adjaye Associates with Hill West Architects as the architect of record. Lightstone is the developer, and Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales of the 244 condominiums.
Set to rise 667 feet atop a block that’s now been dubbed part of Tribeca, 45 Park Place is approaching topping-out. Designed by SOMA Architects with Ismael Leyva serving as the executive and residential architect, the tower is being developed by Sharif el-Gamal’s Soho Properties. The new 43-story skyscraper will have interiors designed by Piero Lissoni while sales of the units are being handled by Corcoran Sunshine. The building is now climbing past the 36th floor, where the last major setback on the eastern elevation is located.
Composed of three contemporary towers on the southern side of the Williamsburg Bridge, 420 Kent Avenue is nearing completion of both exterior and interior work. Designed by ODA Architecture, the upcoming triplet of staggered glass boxes are some of the first new buildings to be constructed as part of the residential building boom that has spread across the Williamsburg waterfront. Spitzer Enterprises is the developer of the 550,000 square foot complex, and its 850 rental apartments will soon see move-ins commence. Located in Greenwood Heights at 185 18th Street, a new upcoming residential building named Arbor Eighteen just launched sales. With eleven stories consisting of 73 condominiums, the project is designed by Isaac & Stern Architects with interiors carried out by Paris Forino. The developers are Adam America and CGI Strategies. Halstead Property Development Marketing’s The Aguayo Team is handling the marketing and sales for Arbor Eighteen.
