Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by The Soloviev Group, the 237-foot-tall structure yields 15 full-floor two-bedroom condominiums with marketing and sales led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. There are two model residences designed by Calvin Tsao at the property, which is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues directly to the east of the 50-story SOM-designed 9 West 57th Street.

799 Broadway Completes Construction in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Construction is complete on 799 Broadway, a 12-story commercial building in Greenwich Village. Designed by Perkins + Will and developed by Columbia Property Trust, the 182-foot-tall structure yields 180,000 square feet of office space marketed by JLL. Consigli Construction Co. served as the general contractor for the project, which is located at the intersection of Broadway and East 11th Street.

Pace University Tower’s Foundations Take Shape at 15 Beekman Street in Financial District, Manhattan

Below-grade work is continuing at 15 Beekman Street, the site of a 27-story academic center and dormitory for Pace University in the Financial District. Designed by Manish Chadha of Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by SL Green Realty, the 338-foot-tall structure will yield 213,084 square feet of classrooms, dorm rooms, a dining facility, a library, and a learning center. The building will also have a cellar, sub-cellar, and a 20-foot-long rear yard. New Line Structures & Development LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Beekman and Nassau Streets and is alternatively addressed as 126-132 Nassau Street.

Pilings and Excavation Continue at 625 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Below-grade work is continuing to progress at 625 Fulton Street, the site of a planned 35-story tower in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Fischer Rasmussen Whitefield Architects and developed by Rabsky Group, which closed on $450 million in construction financing from Madison Realty Capital, the building will yield 1,098 units, 26,000 square feet of retail space, and a parking garage for up to 250 vehicles. The project has gone through numerous design iterations since its conception, including work by Skidmore Owings & Merrill, and is located on a plot bound by Fulton Street to the south, Hudson Avenue to the west, Rockwell Place to the east, and the 34-story 80 DeKalb Avenue to the north.

Closings Underway for SHoP Architects’ 111 West 57th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Closings have begun for the 46 condominium units within the main tower of 111 West 57th Street, a 1,428-foot residential supertall in Midtown. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS DevelopmentProperty Markets Group, and Spruce Capital Partners, the 84-story edifice stands as the world’s most slender building. Studio Sofield is the interior designer and The Corcoran Group is leading sales and marketing for the residences, which also include 14 homes within the restored Steinway Hall building in the podium. WSP is the structural engineer, RWDI consulted with the design of the 800-ton tuned mass damper, Jaros, Baum & Bolles is the MEP engineer, R&R Scaffolding Ltd. provided the building maintenance unit (BMU) sitting atop the crown, and BuroHappold Engineering is the façade consultant for the project, which is located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues on Billionaires’ Row.
