125 Greenwich Street’s Final Curtainwall Panels Await Installation in the Financial District

Exterior work is getting close to completion at 125 Greenwich Street, the tallest residential skyscraper currently under construction in the Financial District. The 912-foot-tall, 88-story structure is designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Bizzi & Partners and Vector Group. Douglas Elliman is leading the sales and marketing for the building’s 273 residential units, which feature interiors designed by March & White. Plaza Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Greenwich Street and Thames Street.

Construction Completed at 200 West 11th Street in the West Village

Work is now complete at 200 West 11th Street, a five-story residential building at the five-way intersection of West 11th Street, Seventh Avenue, and Greenwich Avenue in the West Village. The project is designed by SRA Architecture + Engineering and developed by The Jackson Group, which began leasing late last summer. Interior design was led by Ovadia Design Group and features contemporary material finishes, exposed concrete ceilings and structural beams, and large floor-to-ceiling windows. Jason Haber of Warburg Realty handled the property’s three rentals.

Façade Work Progresses at 120 Water Street in Financial District

Work is moving along on 120 Water Street, a topped-out, 28-story project from Gene Kaufman Architects and Atlas Hospitality in the Financial District. The 52,000-square-foot building will contain a Hotel Indigo with 128 rooms managed by Fortuna Realty Group.

Checking in on SOMA Architects’ 45 Park Place in Tribeca

Among the tallest new construction projects in Lower Manhattan is 45 Park Place, a 667-foot-tall residential building in Tribeca. Designed by SOMA Architects with Ismael Leyva Architects as the executive and residential architect, progress was swift on the reinforced concrete structure throughout much of 2019, but work halted toward the end of the year and has yet to resume. The 43-story building is being developed by Sharif el-Gamal of Soho Properties with Piero Lissoni as the interior designer.

561 Greenwich Street Cleared For Imminent Excavation in Hudson Square

Demolition has finished at 561 Greenwich Street in Hudson Square, the site of a 19-story commercial building. Designed by COOKFOX Architects, the 260,000-square-foot project will add 199,353 square feet of office space to the booming neighborhood. Hines is serving as development manager and Trinity Church Wall Street is listed as the owner on permits filed last November.

100 Vandam Street’s Façade Begins Emerging From Behind Scaffolding in Hudson Square

The first portion of 100 Vandam Street‘s expansion has emerged from behind the black construction netting that covers the 300-foot-tall building in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX and developed by Jeff Greene, construction has topped out on the 25-story mixed-use project, which rises above the 132-year-old red brick walls of a former coal power plant.

Work Wrapping Up on 30 Warren Street’s Black Stone Façade in Tribeca

Exterior work is wrapping up on 30 Warren Street, a 12-story residential building in Tribeca. The 23-unit project is designed by Post-Office Architects with HTO Architects as the executive architect, and developed by Cape Advisors. Sales and marketing are being led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group.

Verizon Executive Education Center and Graduate Hotel Nears Completion on Roosevelt Island

Work is wrapping up on the Verizon Tech Executive Education Center and Graduate Hotel on Roosevelt Island. The topped-out, 18-story structure is designed by Snøhetta and includes an adjacent four-story annex. Graduate Hotels is the operator of the 224 hotel rooms. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is the master planner of the island campus, while Hudson Companies, Related Companies, and Brookfield are developing the entire Cornell Tech satellite location.

202 Broome Street’s Curtain Wall Reaches Final Tiered Setback, on the Lower East Side

The glass curtain wall of 202 Broome Street has reached the final setback of the 14-story mixed-use building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by CetraRuddy, the property will feature 175,000 square feet of Class A offices with a max of 13-foot-high ceilings, 34,500 square feet of retail space, 83 residential units, and a 9,000-square-foot indoor park and recreation area called Broome Street Gardens. The project is part of the six-acre Essex Crossing complex, which is being developed by Delancey Street Associates, BFC Partners, L+M Development Partners, Taconic Investment Partners, The Prusik Group, and Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group.

Demolition Underway at 1 Park Row in Financial District

Demolition work is moving along at 1 Park Row in the Financial District, a small triangular plot at the corner of Park Row and Ann Street. Little information on the scope of the forthcoming project has been announced since December 2017, when renderings surfaced for the lower portion of the structure. Designed by Fogarty Finger Architects and developed by Guardian Realty Management, the property will feature three floors of retail space, according to permits filed in October 2017, though the rendering in the main photo shows at least nine total stories.
