3 Sutton Place’s Façade Nears 847-Foot Parapet in Midtown East, Manhattan

Façade installation is nearing the pinnacle of 3 Sutton Place, a 847-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 430 East 58th Street in Midtown East. Designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen and developed by Gamma Real Estate with Stephen B. Jacobs Group as the executive architect, the 62-story tower is located between Sutton Place South and First Avenue and will yield 121 residential units with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and the nearby East River. The site is a short walk from the waterfront and the Sutton Place Park North esplanade.

425 Park Avenue’s Exterior Nears Completion in Midtown East, Manhattan

The final pieces of the glass curtain wall and gray paneling are being installed on 425 Park Avenue, a 897-foot-tall commercial skyscraper in Midtown East. Designed by Norman Foster of Foster + Partners for L&L Holding Company, Tokyu Land Corporation, and co-managing partner BentallGreenOak, the 47-story building will yield around 667,000 square feet largely dedicated to offices, as well as a ground-floor restaurant run by Chef Daniel Humm, proprietor of the Three Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park. The property is bound by Park Avenue to the west, East 55th Street to the south, and East 56th Street to the north, and is expected to achieve LEED-Gold certification and debut as the city’s first WELL-certified building.

21-59 44th Drive Completes Construction in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is complete on 21-59 44th Drive, a six-story mixed-use building in Long Island CityQueens. Designed by Z Architecture, the rectilinear reinforced concrete structure yields 20 residential units, 2,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 361 square feet of community facilities on a plot of land bound by 44th Drive to the south and 23rd Street to the east.

67 Vestry Street’s Residential Conversion and Expansion Progresses in Tribeca, Manhattan

Residential conversion and expansion work is progressing on 67 Vestry Street, a 13-unit condominium building along Hudson River Park in Tribeca. Designed by BP Architects with Gachot Studios handling the interiors, the project involves a roof-level addition that will raise the structure from nine stories and 115 feet tall to 13 stories and 153 feet tall. Iliad Realty Group is developing the property, which it purchased for $55.5 million in 2017. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group was last reported to be the exclusive marketing and sales agent for the the 88,712-square-foot Romanesque revival edifice.
